Information for Employers

Our Invitation to Employers

The Northwest Consortium of Law Schools will host its annual Northwest Public Service Career Fairs in two locations: Seattle, Washington on Friday, February 5, 2010 in the Campion Ballroom located at Seattle University and Portland, Oregon on Saturday, February 6, 2010 in the Templeton Student Center at Lewis and Clark College (undergraduate campus). We hope that you and/or a representative from your agency/organization will be able to join us in Seattle, Portland or in both locations for this year's event, which draws several hundred students from participating schools each year.

The Career Fair offers a great opportunity for public interest organizations and government agencies to publicize and educate students about their work and to make contact with a new generation of concerned lawyers, during the Table Talk Session and/or Interview Session.

Several other reasons to attend these Career Fairs are for advertising pro bono opportunities and finding students seeking a place to work under a stipend. Students are increasingly interested in opportunities to donate their time and energy and the Career Fair affords you an opportunity during the Table Talk Session to inform prospective volunteers about your needs. With the active public interest law programs on all of our campuses, you may meet a student who is seeking outside funding through a stipend to work in an organization or agency like yours for the summer.

If you have any questions about registering, please do not hesitate to contact Vicki Nelson, Career Services Assistant Director of Lewis and Clark Law School, by phone (503/768-6699), fax (503/768-6729), or email ([email protected]).
